Loganikos – Georgitsi – Kastori

In Loganikos which is built at an altitude of 750 meters survived significantly Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic, Byzantine and post-Byzantine monuments, referring to the long Christian history of the area, located between Loganikos and Mistras oposto Catholic Convent of St. George, dating of the 13th century. This is one of the oldest surviving monuments of the region. High on the north side of the village and west of the church of St. George stands the Byzantine castle of Loganikos

Georgitsi is a village in the prefecture of Laconia in altitude 970 meters and has the nickname “Balcony of Taygetos” reason for his amazing sight.

The Kastori is a beautiful mountain village in the prefecture of Laconia, at an altitude of 500 meters, which extends to the eastern side of the northern Taygetos. The route from Leontari is magnificent.

By Kastori there many canyons’m paths you can walk. One of them is the Kastor River Gorge.
